About This clinical research study

Clinical trials are research projects, performed as a way of bringing about progress in medicine and research. Clinical research projects make it possible to scientifically assess the properties of a study medication, to demonstrate the effectiveness and safety of a treatment or a medical device, or to learn more about a disease and methods to diagnose and monitor it.

Here at MAC we are looking for people who would like to take part in clinical trials researching potential new treatments for post-menopausal symptoms.

Post-menopausal symptoms include hot flushes/flashes which are episodes of flushing, sweating, and intense heat sensation. There are few good treatment options currently available. HRT is effective but may have unwelcome side effects. Current non-hormonal options often provide unsatisfactory symptom relief therefore there is a need to find new, improved treatments that may provide relief for women with post-menopausal symptoms.

If you are postmenopausal, you may be eligible to participate in one of our upcoming clinical trials.

There is no obligation to take part in a clinical trial and you are free to withdraw at any time.

You may be compensated up to max £910 for your time and commitment plus reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed or transport provided.
