Healthy Volunteers
In order for any drug to become licensed it must first go through stringent testing processes. The earlier stages of this involve testing any potential medications on a healthy population. It is therefore essential for healthy volunteers to be involved in clinical trials to develop new treatments for conditions which as of yet are not well treated.
Taking part in medical research as a healthy volunteer gives you first access to potentially new treatments which could provide relief for people suffering from life-long illnesses or deteriorating conditions.
Beyond this though as a healthy volunteer you will often be paid for any inconvenience to yourself, therefore most studies provide a financial reimbursement for your inconvenience. Patients on the study have access to WiFi, Television (with movies & Sport) and PlayStation 4. We also provide 3 meals a day, with a selection of sandwiches and soup at lunchtime and a choice of meals and a dessert at dinnertime.
