About This clinical research study
Clinical research trials are performed as a way of bringing about progress in medicine and research. Clinical research projects make it possible to scientifically assess the properties of a medication, to demonstrate the effectiveness and safety of a treatment or a medical device, or to learn more about a disease and methods to diagnose and monitor it.
There is an unmet need for new and improved treatments to help those suffering from anxiety. Many people do not respond appropriately or suffer side-effects from current approved medications, which can result in patients not taking them. There has been much interest and development in recent years around psychedelics to treat a variety of mental health conditions including anxiety.

A full description of the study will be given before you decide to take part, both over the phone and during an appointment at a MAC clinic. This will include you receiving the full Patient Information Sheet.

The purpose of this trial is to test the study medication MM-120 which is being developed for the treatment of anxiety. MM-120 is a modified form of lysergic acid (LSD) which is a known psychedelic.
The study will last for approx. 8 weeks, and you will be required to attend 1 x medical Screening, 2 x 1-night residential stays, 1 x follow up visit and receive 2 x phone calls.

Key Inclusion Criteria
- Aged 18 to 55
- BMI 18 to 30kg/m2
- Body weight 50 - 100kg
- Be in good health as determined by review of medical and psychiatric history, physical examination and laboratory tests, electrocardiogram, and other criteria
Key Exclusion Criteria
- Concerns about having injections or blood taken
- Currently taking prescription or over the counter (OTC) medications
- Unstable or significant history of physical health conditions

ABOUT CLINICAL RESEARCH STUDIES
