About This clinical research study

Clinical trials are research projects, performed as a way of bringing about progress in medicine and research. Clinical research projects make it possible to scientifically assess the properties of a study medication, to demonstrate the effectiveness and safety of a treatment or a medical device, or to learn more about a disease and methods to diagnose and monitor it.

Here at MAC, we are looking for people who would like to take part in clinical trials researching potential new treatments for multiple sclerosis (MS).

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a long-lasting condition where the immune system attacks the myelin sheath covering of nerve fibres in the brain and spinal cord. This damage blocks or slows down messages between the brain and body, causing a variety of symptoms such as extreme tiredness, vision problems, and trouble walking. If you have MS, you may be eligible to participate in one of our upcoming clinical trials.

There is no obligation to take part in a clinical trial, and you are free to withdraw at any time.

If you are eligible, you will receive a comprehensive health screen. Your GP will be fully informed of your participation and provided with any information relevant to your healthcare.

Reimbursement: You may be compensated for your time and commitment plus reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed or transport provided.
