About The Research...

We are currently working to develop treatments which could be used to treat several nervous system conditions. However, we need healthy male volunteers to make this happen.

45 healthy male participants will take part in this study at our Greater Manchester clinic.

Participants will be required to attend 13 visits over approx. 10 months and the trial will assess and compare the safety and tolerability of three study medications (all marketed products): Dysport, Botulinum Toxin or Xeomin.

Interested volunteers will be required to undergo a full medical screening and those who are eligible will receive one single injection of either Dysport, Botulinum Toxin or Xeomin into the muscle on the outer side of the foot to induce a temporary weakness. Any weakness in this muscle caused by the study drugs will have no impact on walking. It is only upon review of your screening results and medical history that will we know if you are suitable to take part in the study.

The results of the study may help provide treatment options for people living with nervous system conditions e.g., involuntary spasms, cramps and tremors and aesthetic or beauty treatments e.g., reducing the appearance of facial lines.

A full description of the study will be given before you decide to take part, both over the phone and during an appointment at a MAC clinic. This will include you receiving the full patient information sheet (PIS). Your GP will also be notified of your participation.
