About The Research...

MAC Clinical Research is currently running a study to trial a potential new treatment for osteoarthritis of the knee. Previous research shows that the trial drug is designed to block the activity of a substance called CCL17 by attaching to it. CCL17 is a protein released by cells which has been shown to cause inflammation and joint pain and it is hoped that by blocking it, the trial drug may reduce inflammation and improve symptoms in people with OA pain. The main objective for this trial is to assess changes in pain in participants with OA of the knee following repeat subcutaneous dosing.

The trial will involve up to 23 visits to our clinic in Greater Manchester plus one telephone call over a 26 week period.

Reimbursement: Up to £3134 plus reasonable travel
