Introduction
This privacy policy (“Supplemental Policy”) is supplemental to the privacy policy which is located at https://researchforyou.co.uk/privacy-policy/ (“the Policy”). This Supplemental Policy describes how we process the personal information that MAC (as defined in the Policy) obtains from you when you access and submit information and photographs to MAC utilising www.researchforyou.co.uk (“the Website”).

What personal information does MAC collect using the Website?
Through the Website, MAC receives data that you actively submit (which may include photographs) as well as data that MAC tracks when you request information, respond to queries or otherwise actively send us data. You will be aware of the data that you actively submit. In addition to this, MAC also collect data through cookies, tags, and other tracking technologies (collectively, “cookies”). Collection Purposes, Use of Data
MAC collects actively submitted data for the purpose of ascertaining whether you may be a suitable candidate to participate in a clinical trial in respect of which you have expressed an interest. MAC may also use the actively submitted data to make you aware of an alternative upcoming trial that you may be eligible for. It shall not use the data for any other purposes.
MAC collects passively tracked data, like cookies, for purposes of administering, protecting and improving the Website and MAC’s systems, to identify server problems, to compile aggregated statistics about Website usage and to help personalise your experience of the Website.
Legal Basis for Processing
MAC will process the data that you actively submit through the Website on the basis of your consent which you can withdraw at any time.
MAC will process the passively tracked data on the basis of its legitimate interests for the purposes set out above. You may seek to disable cookies as set out in our cookie policy.
Data security
MAC is committed to ensuring that your personal information, in particular the information that you actively submit through the Website, is secure. MAC maintains wide-ranging information security policies to apply technical and organisational security measures. This is to ensure we protect sensitive and personal information that you provide to us (particularly sensitive clinical data), against unauthorized access or loss. MAC’s security breach policy provides a procedural response for managing any breach of personal information, including making necessary notifications to individuals or governmental authorities. MAC stores information on servers within the UK and uses commercial measures to ensure that your data is kept safe and treated in accordance with this Supplemental Policy and data protection and privacy laws. MAC shall also ensure that access to any personal information you provide to MAC through the Website is restricted to MAC personnel and only in a limited way to contracted third parties and only when it is necessary to perform the function that they provide. All third parties acting on behalf of MAC are contractually obliged not to disclose your information or use the information for any other purpose.
Your Rights

Retention
MAC retains the personal information provided by you for only as long as needed to fulfil the purposes set out above, unless MAC is required by law or regulation or for litigation and regulatory investigations to keep it for longer periods of time. In the case of actively submitted data through the Website, this is likely to be deleted by MAC once a decision has been made about your eligibility to potentially participate in a clinical trial, irrespective of the outcome of that decision.
