About This clinical research study

Clinical trials are research projects, performed as a way of bringing about progress in medicine and research. Clinical research projects make it possible to scientifically assess the properties of a study medication, to demonstrate the effectiveness and safety of a treatment or a medical device, or to learn more about a disease and methods to diagnose and monitor it.

Here at MAC we are looking for people who would like to take part in clinical trials researching potential new treatments for cardiovascular disease (CVD), including stroke, heart attack or peripheral arterial disease (also known as poor circulation).

Cardiovascular disease is a general term for conditions affecting the heart or blood vessels. It is usually associated with a build up of fatty deposits inside the arteries and an increased risk of blood clots. There are several types of CVD, this trial is looking for those who have previously suffered a heart attack (myocardial infarction), stroke or peripheral arterial disease (PAD).

If you have previously had a heart attack, stroke or PAD you may be eligible to participate in one of our upcoming clinical trials.

Reimbursement: Reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed or transport provided.
